Welcome remarks by Dr. Pamela Sugiman, Dean, Faculty of Arts (Toronto Metropolitan U)
Mariam Pirbhai is a creative writer and academic. She is a professor of English at Wilfrid Laurier University and is the former president of the Canadian Association for Commonwealth Literature and Language Studies (CACLALS). Some of notable works by Mariam include Outside People and Other Stories, and Isolated Incident. Mariam is currently working on two new projects, one that is scheduled to be published by Fall 2023.
